Cupcakeasaurus!
By: Mr. Seley

Oh Sweet Confections! What’s that I see?
A Cupcakeasaurus underneath a gumdrop tree.
I walked up to him, said “How you doin’?”
To my surprise, I saw a tear drop from his eye.
It splashed down…on the ground.
He said, “Kid, take a good look around!”
“You see frosting; You see cake.
But you don’t know that I got the worst tummy ache!”

Cuz I’m a…
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus

I reached out, took his hand,
I want to help, cuz that’s the way I am
He looked so sad, frown on his face
He’d had enough cupcakes to feed the whole human race
Cupcake after cupcake, he couldn’t stop
His tummy must have felt like a permanent belly flop
I racked my brain…for a solution.
I thought of one…but it would take a revolution

Cuz he’s a…
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus

Then I suggested “Why don’t you eat something new?”
He looked me in eye, smiled a toothy smile and said,
“Why don’t I eat you?”

You can’t do that!

You’re a…
Cupcakeasaurus
Cupcakeasaurus

Pluto Is a Planet
By: Mr. Seley

My very educated mother said uh-oh no Pluto.
I guess it’s a case of easy come and easy go
I saw it my place, to say what I thought was right
Now I’m confined to my room for the rest of the night
I could be grounded for the rest of my life
And I would still think…

Pluto is a planet
I don’t care what they say
Pluto is a planet
You can’t take that away

Next day in school, I disagreed again
The teacher said, “I’ve got some homework for you my friend.”
Make it double-spaced and in twelve-point font
Make it ten pages long, get it to me by the end of the month
We’ll you can give me all the homework you want
And I’ll still think…

Chorus

I won’t give up
Cause I’ve made up my mind
It’s how I feel
You can’t change it
It’s a planet
And it will always be
If you’re with me,
…sing it!

Chorus x3

Stone Age Kid
Mr. Seley

I’m a Stone Age kid in the time of computers
I ride my mastodon among the commuters
My pants are saber tooth. My shirt is made of cheetah
And I crush all my problems like a juicy mosquito

I come from 10,000 years ago
We’ve got 10,000 years to go
And history will be what we did (’cause I’m a…)
I’m a stone age kid!!!

Mamma cooked dinner on an open volcano
And my daddy wrestled down a wild tornado
They tell me I’m a kid ’til they turn 18
But I’m the only one that can run this scene

I come from 10,000 years ago
We’ve got 10,000 years to go
And history will be what we did (’cause I’m a…)
I’m a stone age kid!!!

Solo Verse

I come from 10,000 years ago
We’ve got 10,000 years to go
And history will be what we did (’cause I’m a…)
I’m a stone age kid!!!

Back In Michigan
By: Mr. Seley

Back in Michigan
I knew I’d be here again
No matter where I go. No matter what I do
I always end up back again

I used to wanna crawl out of this mitten
Find myself a brand new place to dwell
Said my goodbyes, so long, farewell
Then I realized I was just runnin’ away from myself

Chorus

I promise you I can read a road map
But we all make a big mistake or two
Took a wrong turn on a foggy night out past Kalamazoo
But then I turned around and came right back home to you

Chorus

Solo Verse

Drum break

From Monroe all the way on up to Leelanau
From Holland and across to Saginaw
You’ve never seen so many hard workin’ people with so much heart
And in a matter of time, we’ll be comin’ back strong

Chorus x3

Play The Guitar / Make The Crowd Go Crazy!
By: Mr. Seley

Play the guitar and make the crowd go crazy
Play the guitar and make the crowd go crazy
Play the guitar and make the crowd go crazy
Play the guitar and make the crowd go crazy
You can call me on the phone, but don’t call me lazy
Just play the guitar and make the crowd go crazy

Bring in the bass and shake all the windows
Bring in the bass and shake all the windows
Bring in the bass and shake all the windows
Bring in the bass and shake all the windows
I don’t like to lose, I don’t have to win, though
Bring in the bass and shake all the windows

Hit those drums, like they stole your lunch money
Hit those drums, like they stole your lunch money
Hit those drums, like they stole your lunch money
Hit those drums, like they stole your lunch money
You might see me laughin’ but it’s not funny
So, hit those drums like they stole your lunch money

We’re The Troublemakers and we’re up to no good
We’re The Troublemakers and we’re up to no good
We’re The Troublemakers and we’re up to no good
We’re The Troublemakers and we’re up to no good
Call up all your friends in the neighborhood
We’re The Troublemakers and we’re up to no good

Marco Polo
By: Mr. Seley

Marco Polo…Marco Polo…Marco Polo…
Marco was born way back in 1254
You could say he lived a crazy life
Born in Venice, Italy
I don’t think anyone dreamed he’d see…what he saw
He had to wait…until he was 15
To meet his father and his uncle for the first time
They had just returned from China and they said,
“We’re going back, do you want to come along?”
He said, “Yeah.”

Now everybody knows him as…
Marco Polo…Marco Polo…Marco Polo…

So they traveled along silk road across the desert of emptiness
And over the rooftop of the world
They rode their camels from one end of the Gobi desert to the other
And through the valley of the singing sands
When they arrived in China, they were greeted by the Khan
In his palace of gold, silver and pearls
Marco became ambassador for the Khan
Traveling around his empire for the next 17 years.

Now everybody knows him as…
Marco Polo…Marco Polo…Marco Polo…

Guitar Solo

Now everybody knows him as…
Marco Polo…Marco Polo…Marco Polo…

He returned to Venice only to be caught in
A war with Genoa and thrown in jail
He told his story for the rest of his life
But to most, it seemed too crazy to be true
When he was close to death, the people asked him
“Marco, what lies do you want to take back?”
Marco said, “Man, I didn’t tell you half of what I saw.
You wouldn’t believe me anyway.”

Now everybody knows him as…
Marco Polo…Marco Polo…Marco Polo…Marco Polo…

Howdy Hey
By: Mr. Seley

Howdy howdy howdy howdy howdy hey
Let’s make tomorrow better than today
Odie odie odie odie odie odie oh,
Yesterday was a long time ago

I like coffee and I like tea
I like people that are nice to me
I like pizza and I like pop
And when the beat drops…you know I never wanna stop

Chorus

Ground hog diggin’; dad’s in the barn
Mom is on the back porch spinnin’ her yarns
I’m upstairs reading a book
Little brother found a ladder…now he’s climbin’ on the roof

Chorus

These days we live
They go so fast
The future fades in to the past
My motto as I live and laugh
Is make every day better than the last

Chorus x2

Monsters Have Better Things To Do
By: Mr. Seley

You might think that there’s a…
Monster in your couch cushions
Eatin’ up all of your change
You’re afraid of the bathtub,
’Cause there are monsters in the drain
Tiptoe down the hallway
’Cause monsters live in the floor
You dive right under those warm, warm covers
’Cause there’s a monster right behind the closet door

Your afraid that monsters
Are gonna jump out and attack
If they do,
You know that I got your back
But I’ll tell you this much is true
Monsters have better things to do x4

You find yourself…
Runnin’ up from the basement
So monsters don’t nibble your toes
You wear a scarf to the garage
So the monster dudn’t steal your nose
You never venture up in the attic
That’s where the bats hang upside down
You shiver un-con-troll-a-bly
And you’ll jump up high at the slightest sound

Chorus

They won’t mess with you
There’s not a ghost of chance
Monsters would rather go out and dance
Live it up while the moon is full
Maybe even take a swim in your pool
You’re freaked out, but it’s all groovy
All the monsters are out at the movies…

Monsters have better things to do
Monsters have better things to do
Monsters have better things to do
And it’s alright
Monsters have better things to do
Than keep you up at night
Monsters have better things to do

Best Friend (Take 2)
By: Mr. Seley

You can scratch your own back
You don’t have fleas
You stand up in my defense
When they make fun of me
You brush your own teeth
You don’t bark a lot
You don’t have a crazy name
Like Bingo, Fido or Spot

Dogs are good and dogs are nice
But they never spoke up and gave me good advice
You can take ’em for walks and there’s tricks they can do
But I would rather hang out with you
They say that a dog is a man’s best friend
But my best friend is you

When you fall
It’s always nice to have a friend
To be there when you hit the ground
To pick you back up again
Like when my car broke down
I knew all I had to do was call your phone
If my best friend was a labradoodle,
I would to had to hoof it on home alone

Chorus

Solo Verse

Chorus

You can roll over once
But you don’t play dead
You have all kinds of brains and thoughts
Rollin’ around in your head
We have the funniest conversations
Laughin’ all day long
I thought about just sayin’ it
But it sounds better in a song
And if you like it you can sing along

Double Chorus

One More Cookie
By: Mr. Seley

One more cookie before I go
One more cookie before I go
I asked my mom, “Please!”
But she still said, “No.”
So I’ll have one more cookie before I go

One more bite before I go
One more bite before I go
I asked my mom, “Please!”
But she still said, “No.”
So I’ll have one more bite before I go

One more crumb before I go
One more crumb before I go
I asked my mom, “Please!”
But she still said, “No.”
So I’ll have one more crumb before I go

I wish I could stay forever
If I could……...I would

One more cookie before I go
One more cookie before I go
I asked my mom, “Please!”
But she still said, “No.”
So I’ll have one more cookie before I go

Thank You
By: Mr. Seley

When I was born, you
Gave me my name.
You love me so and
I feel the same
What can I do?
What can I say?
For what you give
Ev-er-y day?

You looked over my shoulder
And you guided my hand
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
You make us women and men
You make us women and men

When I am sad
You’re there for me
When I am glad
You’re smilin’ with me
Show me what’s right
Teach me what’s wrong. You
Gave me the world, so
This is your song

You looked over my shoulder
And you guided my hand
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
You make us women and men
You make us women and men

I want to rain down roses
I want to throw you a big parade
I hope that you know you changed the world
With the love that you gave
With the love that you gave

You looked over my shoulder
And you guided my hand
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
You’ll make us women and men
You’ll make us women and men
